SharePlay is an amazing new way to connect and share experiences with people during a FaceTime call. Now you can use the Unplug app to meditate with friends, family and co-workers anytime, anywhere!
Please read below to learn about the requirements and steps needed to have a successful SharePlay experience on Unplug.
REQUIREMENTS:

All participating iOS devices must be updated to OS 15.1 or later.

How to check your current OS version number: On your device, go to Settings > General > About > Software Version

How to update your OS if needed: On your device, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Please see Apple's support article here for further guidance.

All participating iOS devices must have the Unplug app downloaded to the device.

Download Unplug from the App Store here.

All participating iOS devices must have an active subscription or be in the 7-day free trial so that all content and features are unlocked.

All participating iOS devices must be logged into the Unplug app before SharePlay is initiated.

In the app, click the Profile icon in the top right corner > if you see your profile stats, you are logged in; if you see the option to Sign In, click that to login or create a free account.

HOW TO USE SHAREPLAY ON UNPLUG:

Start a FaceTime call >

You can have up to 32 people on a call! If you need guidance, see Apple's article here.

One participant may initiate the SharePlay experience for everyone on the FaceTime call. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to navigate out of FaceTime and then open the Unplug app >

Select the meditation video you want to experience together.

On the video screen, tap the SharePlay icon under the video player >

All other participants will need to be signed into their Unplug account (first time users will need to create an Unplug account and sign in on the app), and then all guests will need to accept the SharePlay invite:

If you're in the FaceTime app, you will see a banner appear to join SharePlay with the option to Open > . (You may need to tap on the screen in order for the FaceTime menu options and SharePlay invite to appear toward the top of the screen.)
- If you're in the Unplug app, you will see a prompt pop up that says Join SharePlay.

Options during the session:

You can have the Unplug app open with the video playing, and be able to see all participants' FaceTime bubbles on the same screen, OR...

You can have the FaceTime app open with all participants on the screen, and the Unplug video will play on the same screen in Picture-in-Picture mode.

To end the SharePlay session:

Have the FaceTime app open and tap the screen so the menu options appear at the top.

Click the SharePlay icon >

A prompt will pop up with options to End for Everyone or End Only for Me. All participants whose session has been ended will need to re-join SharePlay via step 5 above (for future sessions).

MORE DETAILS TO NOTE:

Any participant in the SharePlay session can pause, play, fast forward or rewind the Unplug video on their device, and the action will occur across all participating devices in real time.

Any participant can change or choose a different meditation video via steps 3 and 4 outlined above - the SharePlay icon on the video screen must be clicked every time you want to share a new video. You will see a prompt that says Replace Existing to confirm you want to switch to the new video.

Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode allows you to see the video playing on your screen while you are navigating outside of the Unplug app. Tap onto the video screen and click this icon in the top left corner to enter PIP mode. Then click this icon in the top right corner of the video screen to end PIP mode.
